Chad Eikhoff announced as Master Class Speaker on Real-Time Animation at Kidscreen Summit Virtual 2021

Eikhoff joins Warren Drones from Epic Games as speaker on real-time animation techniques at world’s leading business of kids entertainment conference

 ATLANTA - Feb. 3, 2021 - Chad Eikhoff, director, producer and founder of animation studio TRICK 3D will be joined by Warren Drones, senior production specialist at Epic Games, for an in-depth discussion on the rise of and ‘how-tos’ of real-time animation at premier kids entertainment conference Kidscreen Summit 2021. Chad Eikhoff is a director, writer, producer and entrepreneur who crafts imaginative stories and worlds using real-time 3D animation as well as immersive media. Eikhoff is widely known for writing, directing and producing the hit-turned-holiday tradition, "The Elf on the Shelf: An Elf's Story."

Pioneering real-time animation techniques to craft stories and experiences, Eikhoff created the pilot episode of the larger series of "The Jolliest Elf" in 2020 and is developing the full series for the 2021 holiday viewing season – also in Unreal Engine (UE). The Jolliest Elf is one series of four in Eikhoff’s slate of family and kids content he plans to make using Unreal Engine over the next few years. Prior to "The Jolliest Elf," Eikhoff directed a first-of-its-kind VR experience using UE from Epic Games. The project, titled "Zayden's Wish," was the first-ever virtual reality granted wish for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In addition to developing and producing independent projects, Eikhoff is the founder of Atlanta-based animation studio TRICK 3D.

Joining Eikhoff in the Master Class session will be Epic Games’ senior production specialist Warren Drones. Drones is an Emmy award-winning technical artist. As a senior production specialist at Epic Games, Drones focuses on new UE features for both broadcast and live events.

The Kidscreen Summit Virtual runs February 8 through March 5 and the session on real-time animation, titled “Real-time animation guide,” will take place on Friday, February 26 2021 at 10 a.m. EST.
